Zamfara Police Nab Man with Concealed Locally Made Pistol on Major Highway

The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully apprehended a man who was caught in possession of a locally made pistol while officers were conducting a routine patrol along the busy Gusau–Kaura Namoda highway.
Dependable NG reports that security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed in a post on X on Monday that the arrest occurred on October 12 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The patrol team, which was being led by DSP Oludele Oparinde, intercepted a man identified as Yakubu Kasimu, who was riding a Boxer motorcycle.
Makama added that a search was immediately conducted on Kasimu due to his suspicious behaviour, which led to the discovery of the concealed, locally fabricated pistol on his person.
According to Makama, the suspect was promptly taken into custody, and the illegal weapon was seized by the police as evidence. Following the arrest and seizure, both the suspect and the recovered weapon have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Gusau to facilitate a thorough and continued investigation into the matter.
