Tinubu Holds Meeting with Danish Billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday received Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s wealthiest businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of the retail giant Bestseller, at the State House in Abuja.

Dependable NG reports that the high-profile visit was confirmed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official X account. Povlsen, who also chairs the influential Bestseller Foundation, was accompanied by Denmark’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, along with other senior Danish officials.

Also present during the meeting were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, signalling the potential focus of discussions on trade and digital investment.

The official disclosure of the meeting noted that “Denmark’s richest man, Mr Anders Holch Povlsen of BESTSELLER & BESTSELLER FOUNDATION, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.” This engagement underscores the Tinubu administration’s continued efforts to cultivate strong international partnerships and attract crucial foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country, aligning with its economic agenda.
