Taylor Swift Breaks Global Records with Historic Number One Hat-Trick

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has become the first artist in US history to achieve the “triple crown,” simultaneously debuting a film, a new album, and a new song at the coveted number one spot.
Dependable NG reports that her new project, the album The Life of a Showgirl and its lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, immediately dominated the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts. The accompanying concert-style film, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, also topped the US box office charts for the week.
The incredible commercial success continued in the album charts. With an astonishing 4.002 million units sold in its debut week, The Life of a Showgirl is officially the biggest first-week album sales record globally.
The release also secured Swift a new milestone as the first solo artist in history to land 15 number-one albums on the Billboard 200. Moreover, her dominance of the singles chart saw her set a further record, becoming the only artist to occupy the entire top ten of the Hot 100 on three separate occasions.
