Retired General Christopher Musa Leaves Service with Pride and a Clear Conscience

The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), retired General Christopher Musa, officially retired from active military service on Friday, stating that he is leaving the stage with a strong sense of pride and a clear conscience. The former CDS emphasized that he gave his absolute all in service to the Nigerian nation.

Dependable NG reports that General Musa made this declaration in his valedictory remarks delivered during his Pulling Out Parade ceremony held on Friday in Abuja. He described the moment as the end of a long and dedicated career in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

In his emotional address, the former CDS also took time to laud the Nigerian people, particularly the youth, for their unwavering faith and constant prayers for a safer nation. He extended his gratitude to the media for their crucial partnership in the pursuit of national development and stability.

“As I formally retire my uniform, I am leaving the stage with pride and a clear conscience, having given my all in service to Nigeria,” General Musa stated. He reaffirmed his lifelong commitment to the country, declaring, “I may be retiring from active service today, but I will never retire from my love for Nigeria.” He concluded his remarks by asserting, “I remain a soldier at heart and a patriot committed to the Constitution and sovereignty of our great nation,” and gave thanks to God for divine protection throughout his extensive career. The retired General concluded by pledging to continue serving Nigeria in other non-military capacities.
