Regina Daniels Fires Back at AGN President Over ‘Need Help’ Comment
The public and acrimonious breakup between actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has exploded into a full-blown crisis within Nollywood, drawing a venomous response from the actress after the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, suggested she was in need of help.
Rollas ignited the feud on Thursday with a lengthy post on Instagram aimed at Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, urging her to withdraw her political focus on the AGN presidency and instead concentrate on her daughter’s “health.” In his address, which also chastised Nollywood veterans for their silence on the messy separation, Rollas stated emphatically: “Regarding Regina, we all know she needs help. Your silence is unfair.”
Regina Daniels immediately hit back at the AGN President with a scathing riposte, publicly questioning his integrity and fitness for office. Taking to her Instagram story, the actress retorted: “Respectfully, there must be something wrong with you, sir, to say I need help?”
The actress’s response quickly shifted from defense to offense, leveling serious accusations of ingratitude and financial misconduct against the AGN President. She wrote: “I say you are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to another, enriching his pocket under the guise of catering to the wellbeing of actors.”
Regina then alluded to a specific, personal grievance that she claimed was fueling Rollas’s supposed “bitterness,” involving her family home. She alleged: “Well, I’m not shocked because that is how you get paid—bringing women to my family home several times to take swimming lessons, which I warned you about—hence your bitterness.”
This new public fight adds a dramatic layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding Regina Daniels’s separation from Senator Ned Nwoko. The actress recently appeared in a viral video, accusing her husband of alleged domestic violence. Senator Nwoko quickly denied the allegations, countering her claims by publicly accusing the actress of drug abuse. The intrusion of the AGN President into this personal crisis has now sparked a full-scale public war of words, exposing deeper fissures and rivalries within the Nigerian film industry’s leadership.
