Presidential Aide O’tega Ogra Issues Warning to Singer Timi Dakolo

The public row between popular Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo and a senior official in President Bola Tinubu’s administration has escalated, as the aide, O’tega Ogra, confirmed he is prepared to pursue legal action.
Dependable NG reports that Ogra, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Digital Engagement, Strategy, and New Media, issued a formal warning to the musician after Dakolo publicly accused him on social media of avoiding payment for a completed job.
The singer’s initial call-out on X saw him demand that Ogra answer his calls and settle the outstanding debt for the undisclosed work. Responding on the same platform, Ogra described the issue as an “institutional matter,” accusing Dakolo of wrongly personalizing the dispute.
Ogra’s post made his position clear: “I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits.” He concluded with a sharp warning, stating, “Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress.” The threat signals a potential courtroom battle over the alleged debt, moving the matter beyond a social media feud.
