Osun PDP Crisis: Party Summons Ife Stakeholders Amidst Vote of No Confidence

Following a purported vote of no confidence against some party leaders, the Osun PDP has issued a strong warning and summoned stakeholders from the Ife Federal Constituency. The state leadership has urged all members to immediately suspend any actions that could escalate tensions, stressing the importance of following the party’s established conflict resolution channels.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, announced that the party has directed that the current status quo be maintained. This is to allow for internal efforts to address all grievances amicably.
The party also used the statement to reaffirm its full respect and confidence in its prominent leaders, including Prince Kola Adewusi, the Deputy Governor of Osun State, and Prof. Wale Oladipo, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees. The party described them as pillars and insisted that any disagreements involving them must be handled through proper party channels, not through public declarations.
“The PDP in Osun is guided by laws, guidelines, and established processes. Any attempt to undermine these principles or weaken the authority of the party will not be condoned,” Hon. Bisi stated, adding that a meeting has been called to reinforce unity.
“We strongly appeal to all parties in Ife land to sheath their swords and embrace peace,” he concluded, emphasizing the need for discipline and unity within the party.
