The management of Niger Tornadoes Football Club has rewarded its players with a cash incentive of N1 million following their decisive victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day nine fixture against Plateau United.

Dependable NG reports that the presentation was made after the 4-0 thrashing of Plateau United at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Sunday. The victory, which showcased the ‘Ikon Allah Boys’ clinical finishing, has significantly boosted the team’s standing on the league table.

The goals for Niger Tornadoes came from a brilliant hat-trick by Abdulazeez Dalhatu, while Shehu Dabai scored the fourth goal to seal the comprehensive win.

The Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, personally presented the total cash reward to the players after the match, fulfilling a commitment to motivate the squad. In addition to the collective reward, the two goal scorers were also singled out for their exceptional performance. Dalhatu and Dabai were presented with a special award and a cash prize of N200,000 each for their influential display during the encounter.

This victory marks Niger Tornadoes’ fourth win of the 2025-2026 NPFL season, extending their unbeaten run to three games. With the three points secured, the Minna-based club has climbed to fourth position on the NPFL table, accumulating 14 points from nine games played so far.
