Nollywood star Adesua Etomi-Wellington has publicly shared the details of a life-threatening health crisis she experienced in June while she was in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons.

Dependable NG reports that in a deeply personal post on her Instagram account, the actress revealed that the ordeal culminated in an unexpected surgery which she believes could have cost her her life. She described the entire incident as both terrifying and a profound turning point in her life. She wrote: “I could have lost my life in June.” She added that the incident “ended with an unplanned surgery and strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all.”

Adesua explained that the frightening event took place while she was in the UK for two professional speaking engagements. She credited her survival entirely to divine intervention, noting that the sequence of events on that specific day perfectly aligned to save her life. “If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she stated.

The actress concluded that the experience has significantly deepened her faith and instilled a renewed sense of gratitude for her life. Declaring her belief, she stated, “There’s nothing anyone can tell me, God is real.” She ended her message by urging her followers to appreciate every day they have and to approach life with greater compassion, saying: “Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted, neither should you.”
