NNPCL Cuts Petrol Price for Second Time in a Week
The Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday implemented a further reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), marking the second such price adjustment in less than one week.
Dependable NG reports that checks at NNPCL retail outlets across Abuja confirmed that the state-owned oil firm has adjusted its petrol price to N920 per liter, a decrease from the previous rate of N930. This translates to a reduction of N10 per liter.
The new petrol price was fully implemented at NNPCL filling stations located in Gwarimpa, the Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4 in Abuja on Thursday.
This latest adjustment follows an earlier price cut made by the NNPCL on November 28, 2025, when the company reduced its retail price by N15 per liter.
Chinedu Ukadike, the spokesperson of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), indicated that fuel prices are expected to continue their downward trend due to increased competition among major players in Nigeria’s downstream oil sector.
