The Imo State Police Command has swiftly arrested five individuals for allegedly assaulting a woman who had cooperated with an ongoing police investigation in her community. The victim, identified as Mrs. Ndidiamaka Agu, was reportedly targeted and attacked in an act of violent intimidation that the Command has vowed to punish to the fullest extent of the law.

The arrest was a direct consequence of an order issued by the State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, who directed immediate and decisive action following reports of the incident. The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, confirmed that the police attention was initially drawn to a distressing viral video circulating online, which clearly showed Mrs. Agu being assaulted by a group of suspects in Emekuku, Owerri North Local Government Area.
