Godwin Owulo: Ex-Benue South PDP Zonal Chairman Defects to ADC

The immediate past Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Benue South Senatorial District, Chief Godwin Owulo, has officially resigned from the party and announced his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Dependable NG reports that Chief Owulo, a prominent political figure from the Oju Local Government Area, formalized his resignation in a letter dated October 15, 2025. The letter was addressed to the Chairman of the PDP in the Ukpa-Aniu-Ette Council Ward, Oju Local Government Area.
The correspondence, simply titled “Resignation,” read in part: “This is to let you know that I, Hon. Chief Sir Godwin Owulo, the Immediate Past Zonal Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, Benue South Senatorial District, this day, the 15th of Oct. 2025, hereby resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party. The reason is personal. Wishing you well.”
Following his departure from the PDP, where he had been instrumental in grassroots mobilization across Benue South, Chief Owulo confirmed his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This move marks the end of his long-standing association with the PDP in Benue State.
