DSS Dismisses 115 Personnel as Part of Ongoing Internal Reforms

The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of a total of 115 personnel, a significant move that the agency states is part of its ongoing internal reforms aimed at sanitizing the Service and upholding rigorous professional standards.

Dependable NG reports that in a statement issued on Tuesday, the Service clarified that the dismissals occurred over a period of time and are integrated into broader, continuous efforts to rid the organization of corruption and misconduct.

The DSS also issued a strong warning, urging members of the public to be cautious of some of these dismissed officers who continue to impersonate and parade themselves as active personnel of the agency. The Service highlighted that it has issued prior disclaimers regarding specific individuals, including Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, but finds it necessary to warn citizens again about the fraudulent activities of some former staff.

The agency further advised Nigerians to avoid any form of official dealings with the affected individuals, confirming that the identities of the dismissed officers have been published on the DSS’s official website for public reference and security awareness.
