Deadly Ambush in Plateau State: Youth Leader Killed by Suspected Militias

Plateau State is reeling from a deadly ambush that claimed the life of a community youth leader. The attack, carried out by suspected armed militias, took place in Bokkos Local Government Area and has sent shockwaves throughout the community. The victim, 47-year-old Mr. Dabit Clement Joseph, also known as Chepti, was the Youth President of Horop District.

The ambush occurred on Thursday when a joint patrol team of soldiers, vigilantes, and hunters came under fire along the Horop–Laban–Nawala feeder road, a border route linking Plateau and Nasarawa states. Mr. Joseph was killed on the spot, and his body has since been evacuated to the morgue at Luna Hospital in Bokkos.
