Bracket’s Smash Claims P-Square’s Feud is Spiritual

Nigerian singer Bracket’s Smash, also known as Obumneme Ali, has offered a new perspective on the long-standing conflict between Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square. He recently made the shocking claim that the brothers’ feud is of a “spiritual” nature.
Speaking on a recent episode of the AFRIMMA Podcast, Smash—who is one half of the music duo Bracket—asserted that the deep-seated rift between the Okoye brothers is far from a normal disagreement. According to the singer, even Paul Okoye agreed with his spiritual assessment of the problem when they last spoke. Smash explained that while he is closer to Paul, he also has a strong relationship with Peter and has tried to mediate between them.
Smash emphasized how close the twins once were, recalling their immense passion for the P-Square brand, which included their brother, Jude. He expressed his sadness over the situation, stating that the feud is so profound it feels spiritual. The singer’s comments provide a rare, intimate insight into a feud that has long puzzled fans and peers across the Nigerian music scene.
