ADC Niger State Throws Support Behind Female Aspirants for 2027 Polls

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger State has formally extended an open invitation to female political aspirants across the state’s three senatorial districts, actively encouraging them to vie for various elective offices. These positions range from local government councillorship to seats in the Niger State House of Assembly.
Dependable NG reports that the commitment to gender inclusivity and representation was championed by the state chairman, Alhaji Musa Hassan, during a statement made in Minna. Hassan reaffirmed the party’s dedication to embracing women and persons with disabilities, recognizing them as a large, critical segment of the population essential for national development.
The ADC chairman also used the platform to express deep concern over the nation’s escalating problems, specifically citing worsening insecurity and high unemployment rates. He highlighted the unfortunate trend of many Nigerians resorting to commercial tricycle and taxi operations as their primary means of livelihood due to economic hardship.
He asserted that the ADC is currently formulating robust policies designed to tackle these persistent economic issues and drive a national transformation. Musa took a swipe at the current administration, criticizing its failure to resolve persistent challenges in the power and education sectors despite having “abundant resources.” He argued that the ADC possesses the necessary vision and leadership capacity to spearhead Nigeria’s transformation if granted the mandate in the 2027 elections.
Musa urged all citizens to maintain hope and prioritize obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to ensure they can fully exercise their democratic rights during the upcoming polls. Concluding his remarks with a religious sentiment regarding the party’s prospects, he remarked, “The same Almighty who gave the current administration power can also grant it to the ADC in 2027.”
