ADC Expels Leke Abejide
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally ratified the expulsion of Hon. Leke Abejide from the party ranks. This action confirms a disciplinary decision initially taken by the party’s Kogi State Executive Committee.
The ratification was announced by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday following its meeting held at the ADC National Headquarters in Abuja.
A statement confirming the expulsion was signed by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.
The leadership stated clearly that Abejide was removed due to what it described as repeated and unaddressed acts of indiscipline.
According to the NWC, the ADC is now focused on strengthening its internal order and governance structures. The party will not tolerate behavior that undermines its core values and unity.
The committee stressed its commitment to building a political platform guided strictly by “discipline, character, and integrity,” signaling a new, stricter era of internal compliance.
In a related move, the party issued fresh directives to its structures in Kogi State. The NWC instructed the state leadership to immediately begin the process of filling all vacant executive positions.
These vacancies must be filled at the ward, local government, and state levels. This process, the party confirmed, must adhere strictly to earlier approved transition guidelines in preparation for forthcoming congresses, the dates for which will be released soon.
