Actress Lolo Prefers Being a Co-Wife to a ‘Side-Chick’

Nollywood actress and media personality, Omotunde Adebowale-David, popularly known as Lolo 1, has waded into the debate on modern relationships by declaring her preference for polygamy over secret extra-marital affairs.

Dependable NG reports that the actress expressed this candid opinion during a recent podcast discussion with her colleague, Bimbo Akintola, arguing that openness and transparency should be the guiding principles in relationships. Lolo 1 emphatically stated that she would find the structure of polygamy more acceptable than the secrecy of infidelity.

“I would rather a man be polygamous than for him to be married and have a side-chick. That’s the one I would not contend with,” the actress declared. She justified her stance by suggesting that the arrangement of polygamy offers a level of fairness to co-wives, which is completely absent in the deceitful “side-chick culture.”

Adding to the conversation, her colleague, Bimbo Akintola, traced the root of the “side-chick culture” back to a societal trend where men were allegedly encouraged to marry women based on the label of “wife material” rather than marrying the women they genuinely loved. Both actresses concluded that honesty and clarity remain paramount in any committed relationship.
