The Dangote Group has officially announced a major partnership with the United States firm Honeywell International Inc. to accelerate the next phase of its ambitious petroleum refinery expansion. This strategic move aims to boost the refinery’s capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day (mbpd) by 2028, up from the current 650,000 bpd.

The collaboration, disclosed by the company in a statement on Tuesday, reinforces the Dangote Group’s long-term goal to operate what will become the world’s largest single-train petroleum refining complex.
