The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has issued a directive to all Air Component Commanders involved in ongoing military operations nationwide to significantly intensify their precision air strikes against terrorist elements and other criminal groups.

Dependable NG reports that the CAS gave the order during a high-level strategic meeting with commanders from all operational theatres held at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters in Abuja. The meeting was specifically convened to focus on delivering smarter, harder, and more decisive strikes against insurgents, terrorists, and criminal elements undermining Nigeria’s peace and stability.

According to a statement released by NAF, the engagement signifies a decisive step towards recalibrating the NAF’s operational posture and strengthening inter-service synergy to improve national security outcomes. Addressing the commanders, Air Marshal Aneke emphasized the paramount importance of “agility, precision, and intelligence-driven warfare” to effectively counter the evolving threats across all theatres.

Aneke assured the public that the NAF would continue to work closely with sister services and security agencies to achieve unified operational effectiveness.
